Wedding Reception Checklist
Want to make sure your wedding is a smooth event? If there’s one thing that you must, it is a wedding reception checklist. This is the only surefire way that you will be not forget something. You will avoid any mistakes and you will enjoy your wedding. Being a wedding planner for more than a decade, I don’t start a wedding plan without one.
Other than setting a date for the wedding, if you somehow managed to skip this part, maybe this isn’t meant to be. Kidding. Anyways, one of the most important thing to do is create a guest list. Keep in mind that your guest list will change many many times during the process. You should still create one to get an idea of how many people you’re looking at inviting. Also, you want to have this at least started six months before the wedding. That way you could do the math and calculate how much you are going to spend on your wedding. Creating a budget is essential part of the wedding reception checklist.
Wedding invitations should also be high on your checklist. You want to have them send at least a few month before the wedding. From experience, the better looking a wedding invitation is, the high the attendance. Not quite sure why that is, but that’s what I’ve realized after being in the industry for so long. Look, hopefully this will be the only time you’ll get married, make your invitation feel like that.
Wedding catering, or wedding band should also be a part of your wedding reception checklist. They are tightly connected because you want to hire other people to that for you. You can not play at your wedding neither you should cook. That’s why you have to do extensive research on the catering companies that have intrigued you. Also, do some auditions to the bands that have made you good impression. Most importantly, sit with down, and see if you can work with them. You definitely don’t want any one that you can’t work with.
Decoration is another part of the wedding reception checklist. Probably this is the most expensive part. You will find out that whether you have the budget to spend on flowers, lights and other things to make the wedding venue look like exactly you have imagined it in your dreams.
Having a checklist for your wedding will prepare you for your big day. You can use it a variety of ways, it should serve as a budget analyzer. Have all your agendas listed, and assign a budget number to each tasks. Follow the list with precision and you will not experience any difficulties. All you have to do is to complete each task step by step and everything will turn out just fine.
